Job Description : Operational Oversight: Monitor and control power plant operations, adjusting parameters as needed to maintain desired conditions. This includes overseeing boiler operations, turbine performance, and overall plant performance. Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine maintenance checks, troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, and organize necessary repairs or replacements. This might involve collaborating with maintenance staff and technicians. Data Analysis and Reporting: Collect and analyze data from sensors and monitoring systems to assess plant performance, identify potential issues, and generate reports. Safety and Compliance: Ensure adherence to safety protocols, environmental regulations, and other relevant standards. This may involve developing and implementing safety procedures and ensuring proper training for plant personnel. Performance Optimization: Work to improve plant efficiency, reduce energy consumption, and optimize power generation. This could involve implementing energy-saving initiatives and exploring opportunities for renewable energy integration. Project Management: Participate in planning and executing projects related to plant upgrades, maintenance, or new installations. This may include managing resources, coordinating with contractors, and ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget. Collaboration and Communication: Work with cross-functional teams, including operators, technicians, and environmental specialists, to ensure smooth and safe plant operations. This includes effectively communicating information, providing technical guidance, and building strong working relationships. Additional Responsibilities: Calibrate Meters: Ensure the accuracy of power generation meters by calibrating them regularly. Develop and Maintain Documentation: Maintain accurate records of operations, maintenance activities, and safety procedures. Stay Updated: Keep abreast of advancements in power plant technologies and best practices. Budgeting and Cost Control: Assist in developing and managing budgets for plant operations and maintenance.
